Lili Reinhart will execute produce Vincent René-Lortie’s short film ‘Invincible‘ via her production banner Small Victory Productions. “Inspired by a true story, ‘Invincible’ recounts the last 48 hours in the life of Marc-Antoine Bernier, a 14-year-old boy on a desperate quest for freedom,” reads the synopsis. The movie deals with serious subjects such as mental health and self-destruction. Other good news, the movie has been shortlisted for the live action short category at the Oscars. You can wtach the short film on Omeleto (U.S.), on Arte (Europe), or right below.
“Through Vincent’s storytelling, I was immediately pulled into our young Marc’s world. I could feel the desperation to escape his pain, even for a second, without considering the permanent consequences. A deeply moving debut for first-time filmmaker Vincent René-Lortie. The film really spoke to me as it touches on a subject matter that is very personal and affects millions of youths around the world. As an outspoken advocate for mental health awareness, it’s critical to put our attention towards media that shines a light on voices that need our support.”
