About an hour ago, Armani Beauty announced GEN A, the new generation joining the Armani family. Eight young celebrities are part of this new generation, including Lili Reinhart along Camila Mendes, Maude Apatow, Isabela Merced, Chase Stokes, Jonathan Daviss, Lukas Gage and Michael Behling. The group also got a feature on the February issue of Bustle, and it comes with a photoshoot.

Aptly titled “Gen A,” there’s Maude Apatow, the breakout of Euphoria’s much-lauded second season, together with Camila Mendes and Lili Reinhart, who after six seasons of Riverdale will say goodbye to their beloved characters later this year. Then there’s Isabela Merced, the 21-year-old starring in the long-awaited adaptation of John Green’s Turtles All The Way Down, and Lukas Gage, a fellow Euphoria star, who will premiere Down Low — the film he both co-wrote and starred in — at this year’s South by Southwest festival. Finally, there’s Outer Banks’ fan favorites Chase Stokes and Jonathan Daviss, and All American heartthrob Michael Evans Behling.

Vanity Fair | Lili Reinhart: “Enough with the toxic culture of diets”

The dialogue with your body and mental health must be managed: Lili Reinhart is a model for the Gen Z who follows her in Riverdale. And with the conquest of the Women in Film Max Mara Face of the Future Award her begins her turning point as an actress.

Lili Reinhart crouches on the leather sofa, tilts her head to the side and tells me she can’t keep her mouth shut. “I don’t want to expose myself all the time either, but someone has to do it, right?” She asks. The last time she could not shut up was last May, when she took it out – without ever mentioning it – with Kim Kardashian and the “toxic culture of diets” : the occasion was Kim’s notable and lightning-fast weight loss, willing at all costs to get into a famous Marilyn Monroe dress to show off at the Met Gala. Her accusation: bragging about having lost all those pounds in a short time is harmful. Ahead of her twenty-six years, her last years were spent playing Betty Cooper, the good girl next door protagonist of Riverdale, the Gen Z TV series par excellence, but also to raise awareness on mental health and body positivity. With rare sincerity, she spoke of suffering from anxiety and depression, and of the difficulties in accepting her body.

Lili was in Milan to attend the Max Mara spring-summer fashion show, which on October 27 will present her with the Women in Film Max Mara Face of the Future Award of 2022, the prize awarded every year to an actress who is at a turning point in her career. The watershed for her will be the farewell to Riverdale, of which filming is underway for the final season. Lili Reinhart is Betty Cooper: a character as much loved by the very young as it is difficult to forget.

What effect does winning the Women in Film Max Mara Face of the Future award have?
“When I found out, I felt flattered and honored to be considered an influential person. At that moment I thought I won it for my work on mental health and body acceptance. Then a friend pointed out to me the obvious: I receive it as an actress. It was interesting, a confirmation of what I do. I still can’t take myself completely seriously.”

Because?
“Maybe because I would like to keep my feet on the ground, or because I haven’t received many awards yet or maybe it’s just the impostor syndrome. I certainly feel that I have not yet shown my best as an actress.”

What would you like to do?
“I started a production company with which I am developing very ambitious projects that also include fantastic roles for me. When I start playing more demanding characters, I will feel more confident.” Continue Reading

BAZAAR | Lili Reinhart shot to stardom portraying Betty Cooper in CW’s teen drama television series Riverdale (2017 – present). Betty Cooper is a typical America’s sweetheart and positive teen. After six seasons, Riverdale has become a global phenomenon. And Lili Reinhart also has earned a solid reputation in Hollywood with over 29 million Instagram followers.

Since 10 years old, Reinhart has already loved singing, acting, and dancing. The Ohio native often asked her mom to drive her to New York City for auditions.

At the age of 18, she moved from Ohio to Los Angeles to pursue acting. But the 18-year-old almost gave up after five months. “Moving to LA alone at 18 was very hard. At one point, I had such a bad panic attack, I knew I needed to go home. I wasn’t mentally well and I didn’t want to keep pushing myself and get any worse.”

She made the decision to move back home, save money “so I could go back [to LA] eventually.” At that time, Reinhart didn’t really have a plan B or another option. “There were just some obstacles in the way that I needed to overcome and with the love and support of my family and friends, I was able to.”

Remembering her time with Riverdale, the German and French descent actress recalls:

“I’ve learned an incredible amount from this show (Riverdale). It’s allowed me to appreciate the village of humans it takes to put together these episodes. So much time and effort goes into every shot, if only people knew.

I’ve also grown as an actor. I think acting is like a muscle that needs to be exercised, and I’m fortunate enough to have had a job for the last 6 years where I’m constantly putting my acting abilities to the test… playing out scenarios that would never happen in real life.”

Reinhart cherished Riverdale from the very first day of shooting.

“I think back to our first musical episode of Carrie— we were all dancing and singing around a circle of chairs, and it was either Casey or KJ who fell backwards onto the ground and it made it onto our season 3 blooper reel. We always have so much fun when we all work together, and we like to laugh at each other when we’re singing and dancing. It was a great day. Everyone in the cast makes me laugh. We are a little bit into 2022 at this point, and I know that you’ve shared that you’re very into self-help and self-discovery. Did you have any resolutions or hopes going into this year?

I’m not a ‘new year’s resolution’ kind of girl. I think when I’m motivated and ready for change, I do it. I don’t need to wait for January. I did, however, start to shift my diet and exercise regimen in December of 2021. I wanted a true lifestyle change. I want to be healthier, starting with my diet- less fast food and soda. And I want to keep growing. I like to say that I had my spiritual awakening during this pandemic, and it has changed my life for the better. I started my journey to becoming a reiki master. I did a 3-month mentorship with a psychic and traveled to Mount Shasta, CA to work with a healer, and am currently taking a course with a channeler who is basically my life coach. I’ve never felt more confident in who I am and what I want in my life.

In other interviews, you’ve said that you were a performer kid making up dances and plays with your friends and family. I always think it’s fun to hear about childhood memories, so is there a specific memory of you performing as a child that sticks out to you?

I have a memory of singing “Where are you Christmas” from The Grinch in front of my family with my cousin when we were all together for the holidays. I must’ve been around 8 years old- something like that. My Nana loved to hear me sing so I remember singing a lot when I visited her, especially in the car, singing along to cassette tapes.
